The football team was forced to forfeit to Warrensville Heights Oct. 22 because Principal Michael Griffith deemed Warrensville’s field unplayable. Griffith arrived at the field an hour before the game and, after he sank to his ankles in mud, said the field was unsafe for either team. Solon Athletic Director Mark McGuire offered to host the game, but Warrensville refused.
